A Journey Through the Modes — Part II
In this workshop, we explore two of my favorite therapeutic tools on the harp: the Lydian mode and the major seventh. These are sounds I reach for when I need music that can hold sadness and hope together without erasing either one.
We’ll listen for the B natural that opens both musical landscapes, find the chord that brings Lydian to life, and move between modes to create richer, more expressive soundscapes. We begin in C major, so there are no lever changes needed at first.
The workshop is open to every level. Take your time, play along, and use the workshop charts whenever you want the ideas in front of you.
